Caring for someone can be a rewarding experience however it can also be very demanding and strenuous. Additionally, when you’re caring for someone the journey can feel like a battle with the system.
It’s often difficult to find out what services you’re entitled to and even more, how you can get those services. It is often common for people to feel reserved and reluctant to go out and shop for services because they fear to lose their current supports.
What is Community Circle?
Family members and carers who care for an individual may need extra help and support. Community Circle is a program provided to you free of charge which will give you the knowledge you need to make informed choices about the services and care that are right for you and your family. You will have access to monthly information seminars and workshops covering topics related to disability, aged care, mental health and caregiving. You will also receive informative resources that will help you to better manage your own health, wellbeing and lifestyle choices.

DARTS Recreational Outings for Wheelchair Users
Our disability transport service is the only door-to-door transport combined with social activity planning for wheelchair users across Sydney. With modified buses, we can transport 5 wheelchair passengers plus 6 seated passengers to events, social activities, sporting occasions, shopping, theatres and more.
Our modified buses are clean and modern. Our caring and knowledgeable drivers and the team will provide assistance along the journey and during the outings. With us on Your Side, you can make the most of every moment.
With over 35 years of experience, we have modern clean transport and a wealth of knowledge about the best accessible destinations in Sydney. Our coordinators work hard to understand what our passengers want, what challenges they face and work together to plan the best possible experience.
Perhaps you are looking to learn how to use the public transport system in addition to accessing Your Side’s disability transport services and social service. Your Side can provide travel training on the use of Sydney’s public transport system. Learning to use public transport ultimately increases your independence giving you control on where and when you travel.
Independence in using public transport enables you to increase your social activities, attend medical or other specialist appointments independently, visit friends and family, see the sights of Sydney or run errands at a time that suits your needs.
