You are invited to attend an interactive workshop about the experiences of older LGBTI+ communities in aged care settings, to build participant’s skills in inclusive ageing and person-centred culturally safe aged care in the home. This workshop is suitable for in-home aged care workers, managers and executives to understand their professional and practice obligations in supporting the health and wellbeing of LGBTI+ people. The session will look at the requirements under the new Aged Care Act including the Statement of Rights for older people and the Strengthened Quality Standards.
