Changes to Carer Services

By September 2019, there are a number of changes taking place that will impact how carers access services as well as the programs that are offered.

In the future, the Australian Government’s Carer Gateway will be the primary point of entry for all carers.  This means that Commonwealth Respite & Carelink Centres and the Emergency Respite Support Service will be redirected to the Carer Gateway.

New carer pathway from September 2019.

The carer program offering will also see a number of online and digital resources and supports whereby funding for current and new services will be through the Carer Gateway or NDIS.
