Home Care Packages Program Data Report
· There were 31,698 approvals for home care between 1 July and 30 September 2017.
· The demand for home care is increasing, with the average number of daily approvals growing by 23.9% since March 2017.
· NSW received the highest number of approvals with a total of 10,879 across levels 1-4.

Prioritisation and Queues
· As at 30 September 2017, there were 101,508 consumers in the queue, which represents an increase of 14.2% since 30 June 2017.
· 40% of queued consumers were assigned interim packages.
· Queued consumers were most commonly seeking higher level packages (3 and 4).
· An additional 6000 higher level packages were made available to address the demands for higher level care.

· Within the Northern Sydney Region 133 level one packages were assigned, 830 level two packages were assigned, 54 level three packages were assigned and 63 level four packages were assigned which makes up for roughly 9% of total packages assigned in NSW.
Service Delivery
· As of June 30, a total of 71,423 consumers were receiving home care packages, which is an increase of 1.2% since the last report.
· As at 30 September 2017, there were 766 approved home care providers in Australia with a home care service, an increase of 4.2% since 30 June 2017.
· Within the Northern Sydney Region 31 consumers were receiving level one care packages, 1,819 were receiving level two care packages, 233 were receiving level three care packages and 504 were receiving level four care packages which makes up 11% of total number of consumers receiving home care packages in NSW
Maximum Exit Amounts
· As of September 30 the average maximum exit amount was $279
· 36% of providers reported that they did not deduct an exit amount
