Supporting Older People from Culturally Diverse Backgrounds with a Hearing Impairment Webinar
- This event has passed.
Organised by the Centre for Cultural Diversity in Ageing, this webinar focuses on two hearing projects looking at the needs of older people from CALD backgrounds with a hearing impairment.
One research project is by Mich Thornton, Lecturer in Audiology at Charles Darwin University who is completing a PhD at The University of Queensland looking at hearing health among Australian immigrants.
Her research looks at the hearing needs of immigrants in Australia with the aim to gain insights into ways to support immigrants who have difficulty getting help for hearing problems in Australia.
The second project is from Soundfair, a non-profit organisation committed to hearing equality and to transforming the experience and wellbeing of all people with hearing conditions.
